Higgs Boson 03:59
Do you recall when the season's change was not in question? You'd scrape your knees several blocks from home. Is that time long gone? Are those basic skills still taught to them as they navigate through this brand new world? Is the incline of what puts us further down the line of progress worth the sacrifice of what keeps us so true to our kind? (Yo!) I can feel the focus realign I can feel the curvature in my spine, almost against my will. In the blackened crevices of the mine, they take identities, pristine and refined never looking back on who they've been. Is this still adaptation? Is this still evolution? Now they look for ways just to justify, try to ease the pain rather than learn to revive. What good is that? Do we even care to find a compromise? Or are we doomed to this streamline, never looking back on who we've been? When it shuts off, what will you be? When it shuts down, who will you be? And I'll repeat this just as much as I have to. Understand: This life could chew and spit you out if it ever cared to take the time.

Lukewarm 01:49
"Fire ridden death for those who don't give". A backwards scripture from a taker's tongue. If the word goes straight to your ear that a dime is what keeps us here then I'll gladly step away from that arch. Now they turn a blind eye Turn around, muffle their ears Turn a blind eye Turn a blind eye Now feel your skin and the heat that we both give, That's the only clear sign of what's lukewarm. Leave it to me to find myself, cancel out everything else. I've got to spend this time in dark. Just like a dream, On a vast and astral plane, they told me: "I hope you've come here leaving behind all those hateful things that you might feel. It'll come to them as we've come back to you, my friend. Only then will you find something tangible, something that is real. Only then will you find pure abundance and a life free of negligence. It's time to begin".

Sad To Die 03:10
10 miles an hour on this assembly line and the powers that be were nice enough to let me catch the sunrise. I turn to my neighbor, ask "why is it this way?". As they look for an answer, I turn away from the day. Hey, who made these rules? Who set the stone and carved out a world that crushes your hopes then stops your dreams from coming to fruition? And who, who washed these minds, reset them to think if you're lucky to work, you work until you drop? For they've traded life for that of a contradiction. As I'm pushed down the hallway, watching passing, blurry ceiling tiles, when the time comes, I'll be disappointed, sad to die because I wasn't done living, living something that was mine and now it's time to get off the ride. I hope to be, I'm gonna be: sad to die, live in pursuit of more life. Not just a variable in someone else's equation.

Even all the houses' colors seem to change as I submit to this forced visit down memory lane. We're not getting any younger, are you happy, friend of mine? I'd hate to see you deviated from what you had in your mind. We're not always so lucky, don't always make it to our prime But one thing is certain, the depletion of time. Why is it when given the circumstance that I seem to recall a detailed account of what I said? Why is it when given the circumstance that I'm caught in between a rock and a hard place? what was vital? what's now regret? Started with a phone call (always a phone call) Now the other shoe falls Now the other shoe finally falls. Here I find myself again fighting and fighting refusing any mechanism. "Don't worry about money, I'll make sure it's there even if I have to pull it straight from the air." Suddenly I feel something, something growing in my chest. Maybe new found love or new found respect. Maybe I've been wrong, wrong this whole time. I'll get rid of this track record which I used to define. When presented with circumstance, we pry and pry and pry until the next time.
